After the Course

Q: What do I have to do to obtain the course certificate?
All participants, who have successfully completed the course, are eligible for a university certificate. In order to obtain it, you need to indicate so in your profile settings on ThinkTank´s platform. Once all assignments are assessed, you will be asked to provide additional information. We will then guide you through the payment process and provide you with the certificate online.

Q: When will the winning team be announced?
The winning team will be announced once all assignments have been assessed by Leuphana Digital School´s teaching staff.
End Of The Course

Q: What happens at the end of the course?
The winner swill be announced and each team’s work might be compiled and published. If they wish, all participants, who successfully completed the course, will receive a certificate from Leuphana University and official course credits to apply to their home university if possible.

Q: How can I be sure that my home university accepts the course credits towards my degree program?
You will have to contact your home university in advance to make sure that they will accept the course credits.
During the Course

Q: Do I have to download software to participate?
There is no special Software needed. An Internet Browser will be fine.

Q: Do I form my own team?
You will not need to form your own team. We will match you with others and form a team of five based on your personal background.

Q: What do I do if working with my team members does not work out?
If working with your team members does not work out, our tutors will help you. A re-matching phase after the first assignment will prevent future problems with your team members.

Q: How is the course structured? Are there deadlines?
There are deadlines for each of our assignments throughout the course.

Q: Are there any fixed dates when I need to be available?
There will be no fixed dates except the assignment deadlines. You will be asked to organize any other dates within your team.

Q: How am I supposed to collaborate und communicate with my team?
We will provide an online learning platform, which enables both collaboration and communication with participants and scholars.

Q: How much time do I need to invest? What is the workload?
You can choose when registering for the course how much time you intend to devote. You will be matched with others who have indicated the same time commitment level. The course and its requirements are designed to fit within the constraints of a full time professional or a student’s schedule.

Q: How can I work with my team members when they all live in different time zones?
The members of one team will be no more than three time zones apart.

Q: How will lecturers provide input?
The lecturers will provide input via reading lists, Youtube videos and also give you access to additional material.

Q: What happens if my team and I miss a deadline?
If you happen to miss any deadlines or if you feel that you will not be able to participate any longer, your status will change from “Participant” to “Supporter”. Even as an Supporter, you will still be able to see most of the content on our platform.

Q: Is there a limitation of the number of participants?
There is no limitation of the number of participants - everybody who wants to join us is invited to do so.

Q: Are there any qualifications needed to sign up for the course? Do I need any special kind of technology to participate?
You do not need any special qualifications. You do not need any special kind of technology. All you need is a computer and Internet access.

Q: When will the course end?
The course will last until the end of April.

Q: Do I need expert knowledge about architecture or city planning beforehand to pass the course?
You do not need any expert knowledge. The course is open to everyone from all backgrounds.

Q: Is it possible to sign up for the course first and then only see the lectures without participating in the assignments?
You can see the lectures on our platform without participating in the course. If you happen to miss any deadlines or if you feel that you will not be able to participate any longer, your user status will change from “Participant” to “Supporter” and you will still be able to see most of the platform´s content.
